ITAMMA’s Ludhiana Show Rated Excellent By Leading Mills

Despite a slow down in the textile industry, ITAMMA’s 22nd Product-Cum-Catalogue Show in Ludhiana on September 20, 2019, received overwhelming response.

The 40 participating ITAMMA members received 480 visitors from leading mills including Vardhman Textiles, Nahar, Ganga Acrowool, Oswal Woollen Mills, Sportking Industries, Kaursain Spinners, Arisudana Industries, T C Spinners, SEL Manufacturing, etc. Visitors, who were mainly mill owners and senior management and engineers, rated this as an excellent show.

Members of ALMTI and FICCO from machine tool industry also attended the show to explore the opportunity for good partners for transfer of technology and business tie-ups in the field of textile machines and accessories manufacturing.

The event was inaugurated by Aditya Sachan, Executive Director, S.T. Cottex Export Pvt. Ltd., Machiwara, Ludhiana. Seventeen ITAMMA members also visited S.T. Cottex Export Pvt. Ltd., to understand the operational functions of the product, processes in the mills.

According to Jugal Kishore Pansari, President, ITAMMA, “When we first announced the show, we received very good response from our members. But over the last few months, we were apprehensive about the response the show would receive, due to the overall slow down in the industry. I am glad to say that our aggressive and proactive promotion strategy helped us to make this show a success.”

Mr Pansari believes that slow down in the time when the industry should do things differently. “During business slow down, the industry should focus on R&D, exploring statistical data, learning about new products and processes required by the market as well as fruitful interaction with the machine and component manufacturers and suppliers for product diversification,” he said.

ITAMMA’s press conference on September 19, 2019 and the event too, was well covered by leading local newspapers.

The event was financially supported by the sponsors Department of Co-operation, Marketing and Textiles, Government of Maharashtra who promoted their activities in their pavilion during the event. India ITME Society was also one of the sponsors who promoted its forthcoming events – ‘ITME Africa-2020 scheduled from 14-16 February, 2020 at Millennium Hall, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and ‘ITME-2020’ scheduled at Greater Noida, India, from 10-15 December, 2020.
