Due to the high demand for innovative fibre blends, Rieter customer Fuhua Dezhou from China wanted to automate the blending process in their blowroom. With the precision blender UNIblend A 81 they have found the perfect solution. This machine sets the highest standards for multi-component blends. Raw material ratios are mixed automatically at a highest degree of accuracy.

The Challenge: Reduce labour costs and achieve precise blends
Fuhua Dezhou currently blends the fibres manually. Due to the innovative fibre blends demanded by the market, a shortage of labour and the heavy work load for operators, the company required automated fibre blending. To achieve precise blends in the future, the blending process must be automated.

Using an A 81 means two fewer operators are required per shift. The blending ratio is more precise and can be controlled better than with manual blending. The deviation is no more than 1%. The downstream draw frame process can be reduced by one drawing passage.

The Customer’s Statement
“The Rieter continuous and precise blending system is different from traditional systems that use a weighing hopper feeder, making it unique. Using the A 81, the blending ratio is achieved automatically and with great precision. Due to these advantages, fewer personnel are required and the number of downstream draw frame passages can be reduced, for example from three to two. We have tested blends with small blending ratios of up to 5%.
