At Knit Tech show in Tirupur, for the first time, Colorjet showed how well cut open knitted fabric can be printed on the Vastrajet digital inkjet printers without any special devices for fabric infeed or any additional human intervention. The 8-head machine was continually printing on a low gsm and elastic cotton knit fabric for three days till the fabric roll ran out and then switched to woven fabric. Visitors could see that the curling selvedge was posing no problem.

Colorjet is the market leader in digital inkjet printers in India and it chose to take the difficult path of demonstrating at an exhibition the ease with which knit fabric can be printed. Interested visitors included some who brought their own fabric and design file. The machine was quickly adapted to the new style and in a matter of minutes started printing on an entirely different fabric with a different design.
