PrettySecrets All Set To Double Retail Outlets by Year End

The famed fashion and lingerie brand PrettySecrets that has been operating online has set a stiff target for this year end to double its offline retail distribution outlets. The target figures stand at 60 exclusive stores and 600 retail counters.

According to PrettySecrets founder and CEO Karan Behal, "We started out as an online brand and later on we branched into offline retail in the previous year. We have ambitious targets to expand our offline channel.  We are looking at having 60 exclusive brand outlets by end of this year. We are also increasing the number of retail counters where our products are sold to over 600."  

The retail brand commenced operations with an e-store way back in 2012. Since then it has come a long way and currently has 6 distributors spanning 250 retail counters. To reach the proposed target of 600 retail counters, the retail giant is on the lookout for adding two new distributors. The number of exclusive brand outlets currently stands at 23. 

Behal disclosed that even though the company is open to funding from venture capitalists and private equity players for funding its expansion operations, the current focus of the company is mainly on debt funding.  

So far, the retail brand has managed to procure INR 55 crore after several rounds of private equity investments from private investors. The investors include big names like RB Investments, Pte Ltd, Orios Venture Partners, Indian Angel Network, Indian Quotient and Harvard Business School Angels India. The company spokesperson announced that the breakeven is slated to happen by October this year.
