TexMin Organised A Buyer Seller Meet In Bhiwandi


Ministry of Textiles, Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Navi Mumbai under Government of India has organised a Buyer Seller Meet from 22nd to 24th September 2016 at Shree Kachh Kadava Patidar Samaj Hall, Bhiwandi. The meet was inaugurated by Naresh Kumar, Director, Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Navi Mumbai, Government of India, Ministry of Textiles. During the inaugural, Naresh Kumar addressed that Govt. of India is giving marketing support to the powerloom fabrics manufacturers in the country under Integrated Scheme for Powerloom Sector Development. Several Buyer seller meets are conducted frequently in various parts of the country to promote the Powerloom manufacturers in the decentralised sector. After he visited all he stalls and saw the various types of fabrics, he requested the buyers to purchase the fabric at the manufacturing cost, since the powerloom products are sold directly from the manufacturers.

At the outset, D.Ravikumar, Deputy Director, Regional office of the Textile Commissioner, Navi Mumbai gave the welcome speech. Purshotam Vanga, Vice-President, PDEXCIL, Mumbai, B. D. Chatterjee, Co-ordinator, SASMIRA Powerloom Service Centre-Bhiwandi, M.Y. Momin, President Bhiwandi Powerloom Weavers Association, Vinod V. Chothani, Director, Sudha Mills gave a special address on the occasion.
