GTE 2026 Showcases Technology Push For Garment Industry

The 39th Garment Technology Expo (GTE 2026) reaffirmed its position as South Asia’s leading platform for garment manufacturing technology. Held in Delhi NCR, the event brought together the full apparel production ecosystem. It focused on innovation, efficiency and global competitiveness.

The inauguration saw participation from key industry leaders and stakeholders including Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Exposition Mart Limited; HKL Magu, Apparel Export Cluster Board of Governor and MD of Jyoti Apparels; Lalit Thukral, President, Noida Apparel Export Cluster (NAEC); Rakshit Poddar, President, Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR); and others.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar said, “GTE continues to serve as a vital platform where industry stakeholders come together to witness cutting-edge technologies and understand how their application can transform the garment value chain.”

HKL Magu added, “Platforms like GTE are essential for accelerating technology adoption and strengthening global competitiveness.”

This year featured over 200 exhibitors and 650+ brands. Footfall crossed 15,000 trade visitors. The showcase covered advanced machinery, CAD/CAM, digital printing, finishing technologies, trims and next-generation solutions.

Supported by the Ministry of Textiles, the event is now MSME-approved. This enables smaller businesses to access government-backed opportunities.

Lalit Thukral noted, “Global challenges are real, but this is also a time to rethink and innovate.” AI-led automation emerged as a key highlight. These technologies are expected to reshape productivity and quality across factories.
