Kornit Acquires PrintFactory To Build End-To-End Digital Textile Production Stack

Kornit Digital has acquired Netherlands-based PrintFactory in a strategic move to accelerate the global shift toward digital, on-demand fashion and textile production. The acquisition strengthens Kornit’s platform strategy by integrating cloud-native workflow, colour management, and production automation into its end-to-end digital ecosystem.

The transaction marks a significant step in addressing one of the largest yet most analogue segments in the apparel industry: screen printing. Despite rapid adoption of digital textile technologies, many manufacturers still rely on fragmented, manual workflows that limit scalability, consistency, and efficiency.

PrintFactory’s technology is designed to close this gap. Its cloud-based platform enables unified workflow management across mixed production environments, ensuring consistent output across different machines, locations, and technologies. It supports end-to-end production—from file preparation to final output—while improving color accuracy, reducing waste, and streamlining operations.

The system is already deployed across thousands of production sites globally, supporting more than 3,500 printer and cutting device models and serving over 10,000 active users. This installed base gives Kornit immediate scale and deeper penetration into industrial print networks worldwide.

“This acquisition is about building the digital backbone of fashion production,” said Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit Digital. “We are connecting demand, workflow, and manufacturing into one integrated platform to accelerate the industry’s shift away from analog systems.”

PrintFactory CEO Erik Strik said the combination will expand the company’s reach. “We have spent decades solving production challenges. Kornit’s platform vision allows us to scale that impact globally,” he said.

For Kornit, the acquisition reinforces its broader platform architecture. KornitX manages demand generation and fulfilment, PrintFactory now anchors workflow and color infrastructure, and Kornit’s own hardware, inks, and production systems power the manufacturing layer. Together, these elements form a continuous digital chain from order to delivery.

The strategy directly targets the global screen-printing market, which remains heavily dependent on manual processes despite growing demand for digital production. By reducing operational complexity and enabling consistent output across distributed manufacturing networks, PrintFactory enhances Kornit’s ability to onboard large-scale brands and industrial producers.

Beyond technology, PrintFactory brings an established global user community, deep workflow expertise, and strong customer integration—including several of Kornit’s key accounts. This strengthens Kornit’s shift toward a more consultative, solutions-driven engagement model.

Post-acquisition, PrintFactory will continue to operate from the Netherlands and maintain its open, technology-agnostic approach. The company will continue serving its existing customer base across apparel and non-apparel segments.

The deal is expected to close in Q2 2026 and is not anticipated to materially impact Kornit’s near-term financial results.

“This acquisition is about building the digital backbone of fashion production,” said Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit Digital. “We are connecting demand, workflow, and manufacturing into one integrated platform to accelerate the industry’s shift away from analog systems.”
