Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the
country’s first operational PM MITRA Park in Warangal, Telangana, giving a
major push to India’s integrated textile manufacturing ambitions. Developed at
a cost of ₹1,695.54 crore, the 1,327-acre mega textile hub is expected to
attract investments exceeding ₹6,000 crore and generate more than 24,400 jobs
across the textile value chain.
Located near the proposed Nagpur Vijayawada Greenfield
Expressway, the park offers multimodal connectivity, advanced logistics
infrastructure, dedicated power systems and a Zero Liquid Discharge enabled
Common Effluent Treatment Plant. Government data showed 62% of the park has
already been allotted to industries, signalling strong investor confidence.
The project operationalises India’s 5F vision spanning
Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion and Fashion to Foreign.
Telangana’s Evertop Textile and Apparel Complex alone plan to invest ₹1,051
crore and create around 12,800 jobs under the Production Linked Incentive
scheme.
