Grasim Appoints Sangeeta Tanwani As CEO Designate Of Textiles Business; Transition To Begin August 2026

Grasim Industries has named Sangeeta Tanwani as CEO Designate of its textiles business, strengthening leadership at a time when branded fabrics and value added textile products are gaining strategic importance across domestic and global markets. Tanwani will join the company as Senior Management Personnel on August 1, 2026, and formally assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on November 1, 2026.

She succeeds Kapil Agrawal, who will continue in his current position until October 31, 2026, before taking up a new assignment within the Aditya Birla Group.

Tanwani brings more than three decades of leadership experience across retail, FMCG, financial services and pharmaceuticals. Since 2018, she has served as CEO of Pantaloons, driving business growth and brand transformation. Earlier, she held senior leadership positions at Kellogg India and South Asia, Coca Cola India, HSBC Middle East, Hindustan Lever and Novartis.

Industry experts view the appointment as a strategic move to accelerate Grasim’s branded textiles portfolio, including Linen Club, amid rising demand for premium fabrics, sustainability-driven innovation and consumer-centric product development.
