Phase‑one
infrastructure at the PM MITRA Textile Park in Amravati, Maharashtra, is now
complete, covering 1,020 acres with roads, drainage, street lighting, water
supply, and utilities ready for industries. Union Textile Secretary Neelam
Shami Rao praised progress during a site visit. The park will feature a 100‑acre
solar plant and a 66‑acre cotton processing and R&D centre in collaboration
with the Netherlands, boosting jobs and innovation. As part of India’s plan for
seven integrated textile hubs, Amravati is set to attract investments,
kickstart manufacturing, and strengthen sustainable textile production
nationally.
