Ministry of Textiles has shifted operations to a newly
developed office complex at Netaji Nagar under the Central Vista redevelopment
programme, marking a significant upgrade in administrative infrastructure. Giriraj
Singh inspected the facility and reviewed operational readiness, service
delivery systems, and citizen interface mechanisms.
The modernised office integrates digital workflows, improved
inter departmental coordination, and enhanced public service infrastructure
aimed at faster and more transparent governance. Officials indicated that the
upgraded ecosystem will streamline policy execution across key initiatives
including PM MITRA parks and Production Linked Incentive schemes.
India’s textile sector contributes around US$36 billion in
exports and supports over 45 million jobs, making efficient governance critical
for sustaining growth momentum. The relocation aligns administrative capacity
with India’s ambition to scale textile exports to US$100 billion, ensuring
improved responsiveness, policy agility, and stakeholder engagement across the
value chain.
