ISAC 2026 (International Symposium on Advancements in
Chemical Sciences / Advanced Materials) concluded in Ahmedabad after bringing
together nearly 250 industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, innovators and
end users from the composites, specialty fibres and advanced materials
ecosystem. Hosted by the Ahmedabad Textile Industry's Research Association
(ATIRA) in association with the Composites Association of India, the two-day
symposium focused on strengthening India’s manufacturing competitiveness and
technology leadership.
Discussions covered aerospace, defence, mobility, renewable
energy, sustainability, testing infrastructure and skill development,
highlighting the growing role of advanced materials in India’s industrial
transformation. A key attraction was the CEO Leadership Meet chaired by Ashok
Malhotra, which explored Industry Vision 2030 and strategies to accelerate
sectoral growth.
India’s technical textiles market has expanded significantly
in recent years and is increasingly supported through the National Technical
Textiles Mission. Industry experts believe composites and specialty fibres will
be critical to achieving the nation’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
ISAC 2026 reinforced its ambition to evolve into a globally
recognised platform connecting innovation, collaboration and investment
opportunities across the advanced materials value chain.
