Odisha has secured fresh textile and apparel investments
worth nearly US$40 million, strengthening its emergence as one of India’s
fastest growing manufacturing destinations. The latest projects are expected to
generate around 12,500 jobs across the state, providing a major boost to
employment and industrial development.
Among the key proposals, Nandraj Textiles will establish an
apparel manufacturing unit in Khurda with an investment of ₹168.64 crore,
creating more than 10,300 jobs. Shahi Exports plans a knitted garment facility
in Sambalpur involving ₹145.5 crore and around 1,840 jobs, while Maa Taratarini
Textile Park will develop an integrated textile project in Ganjam.
The investments align with Odisha’s broader strategy to
become a leading textile and apparel hub in eastern India. Industry momentum
has accelerated through investor friendly policies, modern infrastructure and
growing interest from domestic and global manufacturers. Recent approvals
across multiple sectors underscore the state's expanding industrial ecosystem
and commitment to large scale job creation.
