KARL MAYER Exceeds Expectations At ITM 2026 Through Innovation And Customer Focus

KARL MAYER delivered a stronger than expected performance at ITM 2026 in Istanbul, reinforcing its position as a technology leader in warp knitting, technical textiles, and warp preparation. Despite mounting pressure from rising production costs and low priced Asian competition, the company reported encouraging customer engagement and investment interest across key textile markets.

The company showcased its HKS 4 M EL ECO warp knitting machine, designed to maximise productivity and flexibility in fashion, apparel, upholstery, and semi technical textile applications. Textile innovations including velour, corduroy, terry warp knits, performance sports fabrics, and curtain solutions attracted significant attention.

Axel Wintermeyer, President of the Warp Knitting Business Unit, noted, “Our expectations were modest, but they were exceeded. Demand and market interest remain positive.”

Türkiye remains a strategic textile hub, supported by nearshoring advantages and vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities. Industry analysts estimate the global technical textiles market will surpass US$ 300 billion by 2030, creating fresh opportunities for advanced machinery suppliers such as KARL MAYER.
