A new denim story by ISKO
LUXURY BY PG, where colour, light, movement and tactile experimentation push
fabric beyond what is immediately visible.
The Spring/Summer 2028 collection unfolds in seven chapters, each offering a different expression connected by one idea: preserving the authentic soul of denim while expanding its possibilities.
Denim has never been just a
fabric. It carries memory, culture, workwear, rebellion and constant evolution.
With DENIM BEYOND SURFACE, ISKO LUXURY BY PG takes this identity forward,
exploring what can happen above, beneath and within the surface.
From collection to story
Following last season’s H.A.
Human Art - a reflection on the value of human creativity in an
increasingly AI-driven world - Paolo Gnutti adopts a new narrative language for
Spring/Summer 2028. If every collection is a story, this season the idea
becomes literal: DENIM BEYOND SURFACE is conceived as a film or a book, with
each capsule forming a chapter.
The concept extends beyond
the fabrics themselves. The people behind the collection become part of the
narrative, too. Sales, R&D, the Creative Room, production and every member
of the ISKO team who contributed to its development are imagined as part of the
cast. The result is not seven isolated capsules, but one shared story shaped by
many hands and different skills.
Past / Present / Future
The creative direction
follows Paolo Gnutti’s recurring vision: looking to the past to understand
denim’s authentic codes, working in the present through material
experimentation and craftsmanship, and projecting those codes into the future.
Innovation becomes meaningful when it adds a new dimension without erasing the
original soul.
The Vision of Paolo Gnutti
“I always say that my
collections are stories. This season I wanted to make that idea visible,
imagining the collection as a film or a book. Each capsule is a chapter, but
the story belongs to everyone who helped create it. With DENIM BEYOND SURFACE,
the surface becomes the beginning of the story, not the end. We look to the
past, work in the present and create fabrics for the future,”
says Paolo Gnutti, Creative Director – ISKO LUXURY BY PG.
THE 7 CHAPTERS
The narrative of DENIM
BEYOND SURFACE unfolds through seven distinct textile families:
COLOR DUST –
A story of colour, contrast and imperfection. Coloured flock meets ecru bases,
while abrasion and controlled garment effects allow flashes of the lighter
ground to emerge. Each trace becomes part of the fabric’s identity.
SAINTS & SINNERS –
A dialogue between the sacred and the profane. Gold or silver metallic layers
lie concealed beneath coloured flock. Laser treatments and selective surface
removal reveal unexpected flashes of metal, creating a tension between
refinement, excess and imperfection.
STAR DUST –
Light hidden beneath the surface. Glitter is incorporated into the adhesive
layer beneath the flock, so abrasion or selective removal reveals points of
sparkle. A compact textile gradually unveils a luminous second dimension.
LIQUID METAL –
Denim meets the visual power of molten metal. Gold, silver and other metallic
foils move across black and indigo bases, creating surfaces suspended between
textile and reflection, raw character and precious finish.
PIXEL –
From a digital file to a tactile textile. Customer artwork can be digitally
printed onto flock across different fabric bases, turning images, graphics and
colour into a physical surface. The result is a flexible platform for
individual expression and customisation.
FOLLOW ME –
Made to move with you. Lightweight ecru and indigo stretch bases combine
softness, flexibility and comfort with all-over flock. Ready-to-dye white flock
or coloured flock opens up multiple creative possibilities while retaining a
light, dynamic character.
COMBED YARN –
A finer origin for authentic denim. Heritage constructions are elevated through
combed cotton yarns, creating cleaner surfaces, a richer hand and natural
luminosity. The soul remains unmistakably denim; the standard becomes more
refined.
BEYOND THE SURFACE
DENIM BEYOND SURFACE is an
invitation to look closer: beyond the first impression, beyond convention,
beyond the surface itself. Seven chapters, seven distinct expressions, one
shared story.
“I always say that my collections are stories. This season I wanted to make that idea visible, imagining the collection as a film or a book. Each capsule is a chapter, but the story belongs to everyone who helped create it. With DENIM BEYOND SURFACE, the surface becomes the beginning of the story, not the end. We look to the past, work in the present and create fabrics for the future,” says Paolo Gnutti, Creative Director – ISKO LUXURY BY PG.
