Egypt Expands Industrial Zone With Potential For Textile Investment

China and Egypt have launched the third phase of the TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone at Ain Sokhna, adding 2.86 sq km to the existing 7.34 sq km development.

Located near Ain Sokhna port and the Suez Canal, the zone offers manufacturers access to established supply chains, export logistics and investment incentives. These include 100% foreign ownership and potential customs, VAT and tax benefits for qualifying projects.

For textile and apparel companies, the expansion could offer a base for manufacturing and exports. However, no specific textile investments have been announced in this phase.
