Nike, Adidas Deploy Heat-Tech Kits For 2026 World Cup

Nike and Adidas have engineered next-gen World Cup kits using thermal testing, motion capture, and recycled high-performance fabrics to fight extreme heat and boost player performance.

High-Tech Kits built for heat

Nike and Adidas redesigned 2026 World Cup uniforms using thermal chambers, motion-capture systems, and lab-tested breathable fabrics to tackle heat, humidity, and fatigue.

Nike used its Oregon sports lab with a 200m track, pitch, and robotic mannequins to test movement and moisture control under match conditions.

New kits feature engineered mesh zones, improved airflow, and fully recycled materials.

Performance + National Identity

Designs combine performance engineering with national symbolism.

France’s away kit draws from the Statue of Liberty, with “Liberté” inside the jersey. The shirt carries the rooster emblem and World Cup stars.

The U.S. kit uses flag-inspired red-white stripes, while Canada’s features a bold maple leaf.

France and Uruguay also brought back collar designs for a classic look.

Faster fixes, fewer flaws

Nike fixed early shoulder seam bulging issues seen in France and Uruguay jerseys before the tournament began.
