Twenty-two Italian
companies are meeting Brazilian textile manufacturers across two workshops,
with finishing, knitting and production technologies in focus.
Italian textile machinery
and material suppliers are heading to Brazil to strengthen business ties and
tap opportunities in one of Latin America’s key textile markets.
Organised by the Italian
Trade Agency, ACIMIT and Confindustria Moda, the mission runs from 19 to 24
October, with workshops on 20 October in Santa Catarina and 22 October in São
Paulo. The programme includes company presentations, B2B meetings and visits to
local manufacturing facilities.
The Santa Catarina leg
covers Blumenau, Joinville and Brusque, while the São Paulo programme includes
Americana and Denim City São Paulo, a hub for textile and denim innovation.
The mission brings together
22 Italian companies, including 18 textile machinery manufacturers, alongside
suppliers of yarns, fabrics and clothing accessories. Their focus is on
technologies that improve production efficiency, sustainability and
manufacturing performance.
Finishing leads demand
Brazil is an established
market for Italian textile machinery. Italian exports to the country reached
€48 million in 2025, followed by €20 million in the first half of 2026, making
Brazil the tenth-largest destination for Italian textile machinery.
Finishing equipment
accounted for 57% of Italian machinery exports to Brazil, followed by
accessories and other machinery at 11% each, and knitting machinery at 10%.
By holding workshops in two
different manufacturing regions, the organisers aim to connect directly with
local industrial clusters and identify opportunities for collaboration.
The participating machinery
companies include Biancalani, BTSR, Color Service, Corino Macchine, DURST,
Reggiani Macchine, Erhardt + Leimer, Ferraro, I.M.A., Itema, Lawer, M.C.S.
Officina Meccanica, Mesdan, Monti – Mac, MSJK (MS Printing & JK Group),
Pinter Caipo Italia, Salvade’ and Savio Macchine Tessili.
“Brazil is a market of great interest to our industry, with established commercial relations and significant prospects for collaboration. This mission offers a concrete opportunity to strengthen dialogue between Italian companies and Brazilian operators, build new synergies across the textile supply chain, and bring innovative, flexible and sustainable technologies to help modernise Brazil’s textile industry and enhance its competitiveness.” — Marco Salvadè, President, ACIMIT
